PILLCAM – ENDOSCOPY CAPSULE
- Minimally invasive method for visualizing the mucosa of the small intestine and colon.
- Pillcam SB3: Model used to obtain images of the digestive system, focusing on the small intestine and on points that are bleeding.
- Pillcam C2: Model used to obtain images of the digestive system, focusing on the large intestine and on points with polyps.
- Pillcam Crohn: A capsule that will help monitor patients with Crohn’s disease by assessing the inflamed areas. The capsule will help the doctor determine whether the treatment with drugs is being effective (recently launched product).
- Given Imaging, now owned by Medtronic, was the pioneer in capsule endoscopy, developing new products supported by clinical studies for an increasing number of applications.
